Kolkata : January 13, 2014: Beauty is unveiled within the four walls of correctional home as the Hon’ble Minister-In-Charge, Department of Correctional Administration Mr. Haider Aziz Safwi puts the first ever beauty salon in Alipore Women’s Correctional Home to functioning mode. “Today, on January 13, 2014, a training workshop on Wellness Management starts at Alipore Women’s Correctional Home. This dream project of the Hon’ble MIC is financially supported by the Government of West Bengal, while professional expertise is being enacted and supervised by eminent beauty-therapist Smt Sharmila Singh Flora and Indus Integrated Information Management Limited, Salt Lake. The enthusiasm among the participants with such a market-friendly project got induced among the Hon’ble Minister, Officers and dignitaries from the civil society. The Hon’ble Minister spoke few of participants which increased the energy level of all inmates present there. We are looking forward to replicate this mode for women empowerment at other correctional homes too.
