It is also proposed to set up various small scale industries where prisoners can be gainfully employed. We have already constructed three shops just outside the correctional home premises in the locality where at present a laundry, an electrical goods shop and a stationary shop are being run by the inmates. We have a scheme to set up a market with more stalls, where more inmates will be able to sell their products to the public.
